To host a large mahjong party, you will probably need to hire an instructor or party guide. The instructor can teach new players, refresh occasional players and keep the games moving so the fast players don’t get bored.

The hostess should provide the people, snacks, beverages and prizes. Mahjong is the activity so the games provide the party with a fun momentum.

Are you on the school committee again? Host a coffee and mahjong party! This is a great community builder.

The mahjong party recipe is simple: order some jugs of coffee (and maybe some donut holes) from Dunkin’, set up the game tables and invite the class moms over. Ask for a donation to attend to make this a worthy fundraiser.
